About Dahna Chandler

My Backstory

Located in Washington, DC Metro, I’m a Wellesley College alumna and current Georgetown University graduate student. Professionally, I’m a strategic editorial content writer and internationally published, award-winning small business and personal finance journalist.

I’ve been a fanatic about the internet since I first saw it in high school and began using it to conduct marketing efforts since Al Gore invented the internet when I was a second-time college freshman. Unable to find a job that paid decently after graduation, I launched my own business doing PR and marketing in 1997 and began to help people grew their small online service businesses in 1998. I’ve also been writing digital content and been a digital journalist at least as long.

I combine my love of all things digital, my journalism background and masterful storytelling ability with marketing fluency and business acumen to create engagement-generating, original editorial content that converts your audiences into loyal readers.

As necessary as my background as a journalist and strategic content writing consultant is my entrepreneur’s experience. I come from a long line of successful entrepreneurs, so it’s in my DNA. I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was 18 and won a company award for statewide insurance sales at age 22.

My role as an entrepreneur and my love of all things digital drives my desire to do work as a corporate communications and strategic content writing consultant.

While I focused for many years on raising my son rather than making my millions as an entrepreneur, I’m as passionate about being a thriving small business owner as I am writing. I launched this site to help us all act courageously to generate the wealth we want while enjoying the process.

It’s also the place where I’ll offer my personal finance and small business writing expertise to top content platforms, publications, and well-recognized blogs.

My Writing Experience

Most recently, I’ve focused on providing my strategic editorial content writing services to residential real estate and personal finance clients. They’ve included Fifth Third Bank Wealth Management, Diners Club International, New York Life, Traveler’s Insurance, MetLife, Esurance, Trulia, Lending Tree’s Magnify Money, Trusted Choice and The Mortgage Reports.

I’ve contributed lifestyle content to CORT Furniture Rental and Hertz; small business finance and business operations content to Avalara TrustFile, and legal career and small law firm business development content to Special Counsel and Lawyernomics by Avvo.

And, I work regularly with content marketing platforms like Contently and ClearVoice and have worked with several other leading editorial content brands as well as for small to midsize digital marketing agencies.

I strive to meet the editorial objectives of media outlets and the content marketing aims that brands have. That assures you satisfy your audience’s content needs.

I’m also a working journalist always looking to contribute to top media organizations. My recent news media outlet and trade publication clients include NBC’s TODAY.com, CountryLiving.com, WomansDay.com, CreditUnions.com, Cox Media’s ClarkHoward.com, Next Avenue, and HR Magazine.

During the early years of journalism experience, I contributed narrative nonfiction and service pieces on personal finance, business and lifestyle to recognized, primarily national, print and online publications.

My current editorial clients will agree I work until I’m done and will cooperate with you to achieve the results you want. If I can’t do something, I say so. If I need help, I ask. I’m a business owner working with other professionals to produce excellent content to help them achieve their marketing objectives.

I strive to meet the editorial objectives of media outlets, and content marketing aims brands have. That virtually ensures you satisfy your audience’s content needs. Ultimately, my goal is to make your often challenging job more relaxed, not make you regret partnering with me.

How I Work

Just as it’s essential for you to select the right contract writer, there’s value in choosing client engagements carefully. Both lead to a better work product and strategic outcomes. I work best with thriving enterprises that recognize that fundamental business reality.

If you contact me about projects, I thoroughly research your company, and it’s offerings before taking assignments with you. That way, I’m confident I understand your needs and requirements and can meet them. I’ll only accept work from you if I can provide the best outcomes. I prefer to decline any opportunity than to execute the project poorly.

Your blog content readers are as important to me as the consumers of major media outlet news are. My goal is to produce award-winning level work wherever I provide content.

When we do collaborate on editorial content writing, I’m able to write in your brand voice. I produce content that represents your enterprise positively and helps you achieve your content marketing goals. I combine my editorial skills with marketing fluency to write digital small business and consumer content that’s informative, upbeat, immediately useful, and engagement-generating for your brand.

Whether it’s an e-book, white paper, feature article, or short blog post, I specialize in taking complex issues and making them clear to your readers. I’m committed to service excellence, so I only submit clean copy that needs minimal edits.

My CORT Furniture Rental blog posts and The Mortgage Reports articles are examples of that.

I will bring the same level of commitment to excellence to your brand as your strategic content writer as I do to the media organizations for which I write lifestyle, personal finance, and real estate articles. Your blog content readers are as important to me as the readers of influential media outlet news are. My goal is to produce award-winning level work wherever I provide content writing services.
